Caribou Lodge Paisley

I’ve always been obsessed with signatures.
Handwriting, signature colors, signature patterns…the way that people and artists and brands were able to hone in something that seemed to capture their core essence and then use it in ways both bold and subtle to always let you know know “I was here, this is mine”. I would spend hours as a child staring at my father’s impressive signature, and eventually adapted it to form my own.
The iconic blue of a Tiffany box, the chaos of The Hundreds Jags pattern, the stoicism of Herschel Supply Company’s pink and white pinstripe lining, the gaudy swagger of the Louis Vuitton LV pattern….all these things live rent-free in my head. I kept bringing it up in conversation with various people and finally Alann said “we should do a paisley” and I could picture it, clear as day.
I got in touch with Bryan Figueroa and laid it out for him…I wanted our own paisley pattern with hidden signals all throughout that this was ours. It took him a while to nail it down but it’s absolutely perfect. The Caribou Paisley looks on the surface like a typical paisley pattern, but our pickaxes are in there along with 7 different yoyos.
Our first release featuring our new paisley are these hand-screened bandanas. These are 100% cotton with serged edges, made in Colorado by folks who specialize in this. The quality is fantastic and they’re perfect for whatever you’re gonna use them for….tying around your dog’s neck, holding your hair back, keeping sweat out of your eyes, or covering your face while you and your posse rob a train.
Available first at the Caribooth at PNWR and online shortly after.
